Joshua Hovey is an ARB registered Architect based in Fairford, Gloucestershire, on the edge of the Cotswolds. The practice aims to deliver thoughtful and sensitive design which improves peoples lives. Our services span across the full design process and we take a practical and hands on approach to architectural design – simple solutions often provide the best outcomes.
Joshua studied at the University of Nottingham, in tandem with in-practice experience. He has received a number of design awards and is developing an excellent track record of planning approvals. After gaining his chartership Joshua worked for an experienced commercial practice in Nottingham gaining knowledge of large scale residential and mixed use schemes. Following this he enjoyed working in house as the sole architect for the property development wing of a large retailer, working on high end residential projects. Having moved back to the Cotswolds where he grew up he now specialises in his primary interest of residential dwellings and heritage properties.
Joshua is currently working on the conversion and renovation of his own listed house and shop, completing the majority of the work himself. In his spare time he enjoys walks in the countryside, cycling and windsurfing at the local sailing club.
